all welcome, i don't really care who joins. (: i color-code speech, so you know, because i'm ocd — nicholas is aqua, mystique (xatu) is green, flame (growlithe) will be orange, and rolo (spheal) will probably be navy whenever they come out. :) mystique's words are telepathic, so you know. also, it's crappy, but i don't like intros -- i do better with interaction, but tend to lack creativity on my own, haha. in any case, the basics should be obvious: he's at the tower, it's a bit before dawn, the night is calm. if you're confused as to the post or it's not satisfactory, i can edit it but i'm just quite lazy. 8D;

[/blockquote]All was still.
There was no wind, the air instead remaining completely still. The tower before them was silent, crumbling and decaying but silent and still for the moment. The surrounding forest was the same, as were the two beings that stood before the tower. One rested on the head of the other, a massive bird that literally doubled their height. The boy seemed unphased by the weight (perhaps accustomed to it), for he merely stared in wonder at the tower that loomed ancient and mysterious a few yards before them. His breaths came silently, timidly, as his green-feathered companion stared thoughtfully forward. The raptor-like creature's eyes seemed to glaze over in thought before the creature shifted minimally./ Nothing should happen should you step forward. Some may come, but I am unsure... Choices change, chain reactions... Knock down one domino and all the rest fall. /
Nick as silent for a good second, perhaps two. Then, as slow as a frightened turtle, he stepped forward. He paused, waiting a moment, before the simple words, / Go on, / pushed him forth. His steps cam hesitantly at first before they were quicker, anxious and nervous. Time seemed to creep by so slowly, with owls beginning to hoot and the sun beginning to rise in the distance, that Nicholas wondered if it would take him so long to find anything dangerous in the tower that it might collapse on him. Regardless, he was sure Mystique would give him warning, and thus continued on.
