Personality
Melanie has a tendency to keep to herself. She doesn’t like to talk much, and only shows respect (without grumbling) to higher members of the Yami no Kaze. Don’t expect her to open up to you any time soon, and she prefers to keep her past shrouded in mystery (Despite this, the latest brain-cracking-for-use-of-application technology was able to extract some parts of it).
Background
A native of Sinnoh, Melanie grew up in the city of Sunyshore along with her brother and mom. (After the former turned eleven, he went off on a journey with his Magneton; she doesn’t like to talk about what became of him and if you ask, you’re dead meat.) Mel chose to stay at home with her mother and help out around the house, but eventually the urge to become a Trainer got the best of her. She begged and pleaded for her mother to let her go on a journey across the Sinnoh region. Eventually, she was set free upon the world with her best friend, a Murkrow.
She stayed on this path of Trainer-dom for eight years, at which point the Yami no Kaze struck Sinnoh. This, combined with the… unfortunate road her sibling had chosen to take (or, rather, lead), Melanie migrated with her Pokemon (Murkrow, Houndour, and Haunter) to Raeo. She was not pleased to find out that the Yami no Kaze were in this place too. Infuriated with just about everything, she joined up with the YnK soon after she arrived.

Clothing
Let’s go from the top down, shall we?
The first thing you notice is her black hat. It’s wide-brimmed, casts a shadow over her eyes (which are covered by large sunglasses anyway), and has three points; one witch-hat point on the top, and two sticking out at an angle from it. Need a better description? Glance at a garden-variety Murkrow and you should get the picture.
Moving right along, we come to her black trench-coat. It goes down to around her ankles, and is considerably tattered and ripped. It’s not buttoned, though, so you can see the black shirt and blue jeans she’s wearing under it. On her right arm is a chain bracelet with a charm; this serves as her handy-dandy YnK communication device.
She wears black boots and gray socks. Nope, Mel isn’t much in the way of color.
Hair
Black, just like the rest of her outfit. It’s straight and falls down her back until about her waist, at which point it clumps into thick but floppy spikes.
Eyes
Assuming you’re lucky enough to convince her to let you see them, Yami’s eyes are gray and slightly narrowed.
