I'm one of Raeo's Global Moderators (in fact, I was the first Global Moderator here), meaning that I'm one step down from Jake. I'm also head of the Global Mods, though that doesn't exactly mean I get to boss Neko and Fee around... hehe. x)

Obviously you're here to read about more than that, though, so allow me to give you some more formal information about myself.
Ahem.

Currently, I'm sixteen, enrolled in the eleventh grade.
I live in Canada, just outside of Ottawa, in a large English-French community. But even then, I can't really speak too much French, unless I have a pocket dictionary at my disposal...

I am female, but at the same time I'm not your average a-typical Canadian lass. While it can be seen that most girls my age are more interested in things like cell-phones, make-up, boys, and other things (not that liking stuff like that is bad thing, of course), I prefer my computer, riding my bike, writing fan-fiction, playing video games, Role Playing...

And the list goes on. (:
I have a real soft-spot for certain anime franchises, like Pokemon and Digimon. Particularly when they're in their original Japanese forms. I'm not a big fan of English dubs.

But I can't speak Japanese, and I sure as hell won't try to until I learn fully, so don't expect me to be some Wapanese retard. In fact, I despise Weeaboos with a passion, because they down play their own country of origin for another. That, and it gets annoying when they spout off the words "baka", "kawaii", and "desu" in every other sentence, without grasping their true context.

But taking another route...
For video games, I abso-fricking-lutely adore the Half-Life series. I mean, really-honest-and-for-true. It's got to be one of my favourite franchises, even though I only recently got into it. Of course, I do like other video gaming series, like Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Mario, Metroid, Animal Crossing, et cetera.
I can't think of all of them off the top of my head...

For music, I love several popular English bands, like Tears for Fears, Styx, The Police, Genesis, The Bangles, Doc Walker... and once more, the list continues.

However, one of my absolute favourite bands isn't English. No, they're Japanese. However, I don't go all "Weeaboo" on them. I just happen to enjoy their rock/pop feel. My favourite song by them is titled "just Melody" (yes, the 'j' is supposed to be undercased), though I do own twenty-three other songs composed by them. < 3

For hobbies, I play video games, write fan-fiction and stories of my own ideas, and take bike-rides (we have a pretty awesome bike path, and the town was practically made for biking with its wide roads and what-not).

What about television shows and movies, you may ask? Well, I'm in love with Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. Of course I watch other shows, like ReBoot (awesomely classic), Loony Tunes (also very classic), Mythbusters, the Smurfs, Scooby-Doo (can't you just tell I love old cartoons?), CSI, CSI: Miami, Law and Order: SVU & CI (dunno why, but I can never really watch the original...), and the list continues on.

But Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis are two of my absolute favourite science fiction shows ever. My obsession probably comes from watching the original movie when it first came out in 1994. Before I started going to school, I watched it on a daily basis (which I think, after awhile, worried my parents. xD). When the SG-1 series started, however, I wasn't allowed to watch it. ): It was either on too late for me (by that time, I was in school), and my baby-sitter found it too violent.
In fact, I only recently got back into it. Kind of a shame, considering SG-1 ended a few years ago.

It started mostly when Stargate Atlantis premiered on the movie network. After watching the two-hour episode with my dad, I decided that I seriously needed to get back into SG-1. And, as it turned out, the Space Channel (yeah, can you tell I live in Canada?) was re-airing all of the SG-1 episodes, from seasons one to seven, on daily. So, I watched, while also watching the episodes of Atlantis, and the newer (at that time, season eight) episodes of SG-1.
Confusing? You bet.

Let's just say I got very much-so re-attached to my inner nerd. x)
For favourite character in the SG-1 series, I would definitely have to go with Doctor Daniel Jackson. Played by Michael Shanks (James Spader in the movie), he's SG-1's archaeologist, and resident mythology expert. Which, in the setting of the Stargate universe, is very useful. He's a very interesting character, too... < 3

Oh, and my favourite Atlantis character is a current tie between Colonel John Sheppard, and Doctor Rodney McKay. Sheppard, played by Joe Flannigan, is a rather quirky military member who leads his own Atlantis team... and McKay, played by David Hewlett, first appeared in several SG-1 episodes, and is arrogant, pushy, but also an endless fountain of comic relief.

Aaaand, I'll stop now. Before I end up imploding your brains. :3

For extra-curriculars in school, I'm in vocal jazz band, which is basically like a singing group. Should be good, because I figure I'm pretty, if not very, good at singing... not to toot my own horn. x)
